2023 Ted Zettle Scholarship for Students in the Arts

The Artists Alliance of the Triangle is honored to name the 2023 AAT Student Scholarship after Ted Zettle.

Ted has been a longtime member and supporter of the AAT.  His time, endeavors and dedication has made a significant impact for artists in the community and the surrounding areas. Ted and his wife moved here 11 years ago from Pittsburgh, Pa. There, he was an art educator for 32 years. His degree is in Art Education from Edinburgh University of Pa. and his Master’s degree is from the University of Pittsburgh. Ted's art interests are jewelry design, silk painting and drawing with pastels. He currently works with a group of artists who meet at the Magnolia House Custom Framing shop in Fuquay-Varina. Ted is also a gardener and a member of the Fuquay-Varina Garden Club. You can see his passion for gardening through his artwork, usually depicting plant life. Two pieces of his artwork will be displayed with the 5th Annual Juried Members Artshow at the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center from March 3rd - April 29th

The AAT thanks Ted for his continued involvement in the art community.
